Who should I hire to sell my home in Pebble Beach?

Who should I hire to sell my home in Pebble Beach? The right pick depends on your price point, timeline and how much prep your home needs. When sellers inside the gates compare listing agents, three names come up more than any others: the Bambace Peterson Team, Tim Allen Properties and Peter Butler. These are the most common, most popular choices for luxury sellers here in 2026.

Brokerage: Compass
Experience: Since 2006

At a glance: Dana Bambace and Mark Peterson, Compass, currently listing a $45 million home on 17-Mile Drive.

The Bambace Peterson Team represents 3364 17-Mile Drive, a $45,000,000 estate on the 14th hole of Pebble Beach Golf Links, shown on the team's Pebble Beach luxury listings page. They've also closed three sales above $10 million in Pebble Beach, led by $14,933,333 at 3406 17-Mile Drive.

The team opened the first Compass office on the Monterey Peninsula in 2018. Per the team's about page, it has been the Peninsula's top-producing Compass team every year since, with more than $750 million in sales. Eight years in first place spans a hot market and the slower one after it, so the record reflects consistency, not one good year.

For sellers, the standout is their published prep results. A Bird Rock Road home valued at $2,295,000 got $90,000 of preparation and sold for $2,800,000 in 9 days with four offers.

Mark Peterson lives inside the Pebble Beach gates and sits on the board of the Monterey County Association of Realtors. Dana Bambace has sold on the Peninsula since 2006. One client, Scott Wu, wrote on the team's testimonials page that "Working with Dana and her team was an absolute masterclass in client service."

Brokerage: Coldwell Banker Global Luxury

At a glance: Tim Allen and team, Coldwell Banker Global Luxury, Carmel-by-the-Sea and Pebble Beach.

Tim Allen Properties is a familiar name in Carmel-by-the-Sea and Pebble Beach luxury sales, with decades of combined experience on the team. Its best-known deal is 1544 Cypress Drive, a $45,000,000 sale on the 18th hole that the team's sold listings page calls the highest sale in Monterey County history. A Pebble Beach buyer named Robyn wrote that the team "made sure the whole experience went smoothly."

Brokerage: Carmel Realty Company
Experience: Nearly 30 years

At a glance: Broker associate, Carmel Realty Company, nearly 30 years on the Peninsula.

Peter Butler is a third-generation local who lives in Pebble Beach. He's worked in Monterey Peninsula luxury real estate for nearly 30 years. His Carmel Realty Company profile notes recognition from RealTrends and The Wall Street Journal. He has also served on the board of The First Tee of Monterey County for more than 14 years.

Pebble Beach luxury snapshot, Q2 2026

Sotheby's International Realty's Q2 2026 Pebble Beach update counted 24 closed sales, 9% more than a year earlier. Eight of them, one in three, closed above $5 million, up 167% from Q2 2025. Homes also took longer to sell, averaging 96 days on market. That puts more weight on pricing and presentation from day one.

How to choose a luxury listing agent in Pebble Beach

Start by asking for recent sales inside the gates at or above your price range. Ask how the agent would prepare your home, and what past prep budgets returned at closing. Find out who handles showings and gate access when you're out of town. With average days on market near 96, ask what the plan is if the home hasn't sold by week 12. Last, confirm who you'll hear from each week, the lead agent or a team member.
